DMCI Mining Corp. plans to ship 1.5 million wet tons of nickel ore in 2023 after its subsidiari Zambales Diversified Metals Corp. (ZDMC) received a certificate to produce an additional 1 million wet tans.
In a regulatory filing, DMCI Holdings Inc. (DMC), the parent company of DMCI Mining, said ZDMC, which received an Environmental compliance certificate (ECC) in January, produced 2 million wet tons of nickel ore from a previous 1 million wet tans.
ZDMC dihasilkan 599,000 wet tonnes of nickel ore in the first quarter of 2023, an 88 percent increase from the previous 318,000 wet tonnes and the highest quarterly production on record. This increased total stocks by 16 per cent to 178,000 wet tannes.
DMCI Mining's president said the company has the necessary facilities and mitigation measures in place to minimize the environmental impact of the mine's operations. With these, DMCI aims to produce 1.7 million wet tons to 2 million wet tons of nickel ore in 2023.
